This is a great park for an overnight stop when traveling on US 395. Very friendly staff and spotless restrooms and showers.

This is the second time we've stay here. It's a very nice State park campground. It has hot Showers, Laundry facilities and fire wood for sale along with a good number of campsites. It is sufficiently away from highway 97 that you won't hear any noise. Sites for tents are separate from RV's. They set in a good supply of mosquitoes during our visit, but repellent kept them at bay. Make sure you take some. It is close to Crater Lake.

I was the Rally Master for 10 members of our RV club that stayed 4 nights at the Pleasant Harbor RV Resort. Our group included 6 Class A’s, 1 Class C’s, 2 travel trailers and 1 Pop-up. We opted to stay in the temporary spaces overlooking Lake Pleasant (beautiful view) instead of the formal campground. These temporary campsites are firm sand providing 8 spaces around a 60-foot square grassy area but only provided electric and water hookup. 8 of our members travel with dogs and they really were pleased to have a place to walk their dogs. While not in the formal campground we still had access to all of the services of the RV Resort. A few of our members whose units with small gray water holding tanks opted to shower in the Clubhouse showers which were very clean and modern. The formal campground was filled with mostly Snow Birds, leaving few vacant sites that I could see. There was an informal security team that drove around the campground at regular intervals. Previous warnings about driving through the entry portal are valid. Use caution it is narrow. The campground had a vendor with a truck mounted propane tank that vended right at each site and there was a tire company that visited the campground with a truck to service tire problems including the larger motor home variety. There was also a small convenience store for last minutes items and the onsite gas station sold regular gas and diesel at just a few cents more than a city location. We have camped as a club in a wide variety of campgrounds and they all gave Pleasant Harbor RV Resort “Two Thumbs Up”. We were eligible for a group rate of $25 per day.

We traveled to this campground as part of our RV travel club. While in the desert, the older campsite loops have maturing trees that gave us afternoon shade. The spaces are very large and the distance between spaces gives you a very private feel. We had dinner in the nearby restaurant (operated by the same people) and found the food very good. There is a convenience store onsite. The showers are a coin operated ($2 for 15 min) and located at the RV Park Office. The campsites are divided into loops. Loop D in the newest with the least mature trees. We camped in Loop C space 9 and found it very nice. WiFi is only available in the Motel lobby. We will return to this campground again.

This is the second time we've stayed at this park. It is an anomaly in the middle of the desert. The park was designed with a berm to screen the harshness of the desert. You often times forget where you are camped. The WiFi didn't work, the ducks are sometimes noisy. The onsite restaurant food is palatable (except the buffet). There is a gas station and convenience store associated with the park. Propane is available too. While not a perfect location, this is close to it. The park offers good value and nice amenities.

We camped here as part of an RV club rally during the annual Bluegrass Festival. We were placed in some tight spaces with the tent trailers, but had a wonderful experience. The bathrooms and showers were clean. As with all desert campgrounds, it has sand parking spaces but some nice shaded areas too. The park hosts were very accommodating and we will return, both with our club and individually. It is well maintained.

This is a nice State park that we have camped in for many years. While not having all of the amenities that some expect, it does offer a nice quiet lake camping experience. The showers and restrooms are clean, and the state park people have always been most friendly. It is also very near Ely, NV and the amenities that it offers, including the Northern Nevada railroad.
